The name SkyeView Farm was inspired by the Isle of Skye in Scotland, reflecting the deep appreciation for Skye that is woven into Katie’s family history.

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Katie moved from Tryon, North Carolina, to Edgefield, South Carolina, in 2000 to pursue a career in marketing. Throughout her career, she has worked with several equine publications and now serves with an agricultural media company.

Katie’s love of horses began at birth, inspired by her grandmother, Kate. That passion has led her on countless adventures across many disciplines, including rodeo, hunter-jumper, and foxhunting. She has foxhunted throughout the Eastern Seaboard, served as a whip-in for several hunts, and even enjoyed foxhunting in Ireland. Today, she rides primarily for pleasure while remaining active in the equestrian community.

Katie and her husband, Coley, have owned SkyeView Farm for many years. Together, they have supported numerous equestrian events throughout the region and are passionate about sharing their farm with others. Whether you’re traveling for horse shows, layovers, or lay-ups, they hope SkyeView Farm provides a welcoming, comfortable place to stay. Over the years, the farm has also served as a safe haven for friends seeking refuge from hurricanes—a tradition of hospitality they are proud to continue.
